Meet Your MWQA

Board!

The Minnesota Water Quality Association (MWQA) is a statewide trade association representing the household, commercial, and industrial water quality improvement industry. Established in 1956, the MWQA represents companies that manufacture and/or sell point-of-use/point-of-entry (POU/POE) equipment such as water filters, customized water treatment systems (including softeners, reverse osmosis systems or iron removal systems), and related products such as water softener salt.

The Association assists consumers with answers about water treatment systems, whether for home or business. Today, there are more options than ever available to obtain the high quality water. In some cases, customers desire improved water for bathing or home maintenance. Others prefer an improvement in their drinking water. Still others desire highly treated water to meet the needs of science, medicine, and industry.

To the average consumer, buying or renting a water treatment system can be confusing, and the MWQA can help the public understand how various systems work and which is best for their specific concerns. Be sure to utilize MWQA members when making your purchase or rental decision. They abide by a Code of Ethics promoted by the national Water Quality Association and are here to help you with your decision.  You can find a list of MWQA members on our website.

Regardless of the need, the MWQA and its members can provide consumers with a water quality treatment solution; for its members, the MWQA provides them with the solutions they need to enhance business.
